Re: Sad News

Stunned. No other words to describe it. We'd never met but I'll miss his banter in our e-mail exchanges as an ex-crab like me learned how to build virtual ships, and his words of encouragement as he helped me develop my modelling skills.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Re: Happy Birthday JKAGary(43) 23.7.17

Number one son has picked blue for his new colour scheme. The current wall colour is a 0.0001% different shade of blue. Glasses on or off I can't tell where where I've painted or not painted albeit by touching the wall and getting paint all over myself then have to repaint the part of the wall where...

Re: Nice day for a phot.. but not for long!

Still plodding away on Ark V......trying to drag it kicking and screaming from sketchup into Blender. Hopefully I can then add some animations to the radars and AO to get an appropriate shadow effect to the flight deck. I've also started an early version of Invincible circa 1981-82. Drop me a PM wit...

Re: FSX ships

I've been redirected over here from SOH by Gary after asking a question about Invincible, and from the "fisheads and wafus" thread I see that Andromeda, Glamorgan and Hermes are, ahem, floating around somewhere. Could some kind person give me a vector for a download, please? Hi David - if...

Re: Instant Scenery V2

Re: Pompey ships

Essentially what I started doing for Portsmouth scenery is take the current models available from the sketchup warehouse (which are displayed in google earth), tidy up the textures (some of the models are quite wasteful with texture mapping which would affect performance in fsx) then Use MCX to buil...

Re: Pompey ships

I can do that for you chaps, now that I've had some lessons from Yoda (aka George) Quite often the imagery in Bing is better and lines up better with VFR if your using GenX etc. Cool that'd save me doing it!! Pompey was always an area I wanted to see more buildings, and I'd pulled all the Por...
