Well I always use 2D panels 100% of the time in larger aircraft (i.e. DF 727, PMDG stuff) because the VCs in these aircraft murder framerates and don't look as good as a quality 2D panel anyway I think. I have both the Captain Sim and Dreamfleet efforts, and used to have the Vistaliners and Vans models too.
