Re: 849Sqn Station Flt Culdrose
Yes, the Skysim Vixen is a lovely bird. The UKMIL paint radically improved its looks, and it gets flogged pretty consistently on my British boats. I get that weird "lights off/very low at low throttle, bright at full throttle" thing, which is a bit annoying. Like I think you said in SOH, c...

Re: 849Sqn Station Flt Culdrose
Hey lads! These shots are no competition for Mr B's great shots, plus they feature the wrong boat/plane combination, and it's off topic to the original thread ... but ... :hide: since we're talking ship dev projects, hoping someday we'll see an updated R09/ Ark Royal IV ... http://i80.photobucket.co...

Re: 849Sqn Station Flt Culdrose
Wicked pics, Dave.
Say, where did you find an FSX RNAS Culdrose? Was not aware of one, esp with lovely HP T2s as AI (or are those statics?). Sorry if I'm late to the game (I'm a full 8 hours behind you lot, so that's my excuse ...
cheers,

Re: FSX
Additionally, some FS9 portovers (having 2D panels/views) do indeed have working sideviews. DM's Trident and BACs both show the side/angle/rear views when the 2D panel mode is selected. I'm not a "Comet man", so I can't comment, but I expect that model to do likewise. The DN VC10 shows win...

Additionally, if you're so inclined, all the Maltby planes work great in FSX gold + DX10.

Re: Team SDB Enterprise escort repaints
Hey Dave, Just stumbled across this thread (late, as usual) - very kind thanks for these. And fully agree with your assessment, vis-à-vis this carrier and Javier's - this is my USN carrier of choice. My preference being for carrier flying prior to the 80s, there is little out there for USN carriers ...

Re: New Chip off the old block
My pleasure.
Haven't got the model yet - am availing myself of some other PC Aviator goodies - but will likely get it in a few weeks.
cheers,
dl

Re: New Chip off the old block
I to admit I'll be happier when some paints start appearing for it. It's nice to see a fair selection of UK paints with the release but I have so many for Rick's model, the release paints don't look anywhere near enough  I may have a go myself but I'm not keen on the PK format so I'll probably...

Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
I'm assuming these lovely Alpha/Virtavia Sea Venom paints never materialised, right?
Thanks,
