Re: Garry Russel ??
I must say, I was starting to wonder where the pun meister was. Is he being restored to flying condition or just static ?

Re: "Scrap" planes
Interesting photo on a.net, showing lots of withdrawn USAF aircraft lined up in a desert: http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Air/McDonnell-Douglas-F-4.../1492106/L/ Now I count 96 Phantoms, 2 F-16s and 71.5 what I think are F-5s. My question is do our armed Forces even have anything like this man...

Re: Westland Whirlwind for FSX and FS2004 now freeware
I was going to post about the very same thing, Airtrooper. Their list of freeware has expanded quite a bit recently. Not only that; more and more of their payware is being upgraded for FSX, including the Hampden. From what I read before their forums closed, the Hampden wasn't a huge success, but I l...

Re: Weather anyone?
Ben, thanks for that link. I've got Activesky 6.5 for FS9, and I see they do an upgrade to ASX for a reduced price. Another one on the list for when I upgrade.

Re: A busy day at the office..
Now this is what I like about CBFS. You have the full spectrum of aviation activity, from Tonks at the glamorous leading edge, to Dave B trying to get that square thing stuck into a round hole.

Re: IRIS Bushfire Fundraiser (Vulcan Subtopic)
Thanks for that David. The Iris Vulcan, along with one or two releases from other developers, is an absolute certainty for me, so I'm very much looking forward to it. It'll go down a storm here at CBFS, I'm sure.
Sad to see on the BBC news yesterday that the bushfires are back in Victoria.

Re: B24...????
If you look at Ol' 927, there isn't room between the nose side window and the start of the glazing for the gun position. Chris, even allowing for the angle from which that photo is taken, there seems to be little difference in the distance between the side window and the nose glazing on that aircra...

Re: B24...????
This seems to have become a discussion between we two, and I hope the moderators will indulge us a little longer, particularly in light of the fact its a non-British aircraft. Chris, are you sure we are on the same wavelength here ? I am talking about the length of solid fuselage from the windscreen...
