Thanks for the input Sean. I have had to draw a line under further suggestions or we could carry on debating for another year and still be no further forward with our 'identity'. The choice is just from the above three.

Poll - Pick our VA name

I've counted the initial choices and the three most heavily 'voted' for were - Classic British VA Classic British Flight Servcies Classic Line UK As mentioned on numerous occasions, this is just an 'umbrella' name for us to fly under. Aircraft liveries are your choice of real world liveries. Whichev...

Sorry, missed this whole thing, but the requirement as it stands now for landing lights is - OFF ABOVE 10,000 feet. ON BELOW 1,000 feet. Between 1,000 feet and 10,000 feet it's your descretion as to what state your landing lights are in, but above 10,000 or below 1000, the lights must be as describ...

Very pretty... Just thought that the name was just that, a name... the ac will be in "proper"schemes... Tonks  You are quite right, that has been the intention all along and has been repeated several times ( ) in this thread and mirrors the 'CBFS' policy of 'NO FICTIONAL LIV...

Attention VA pilots

OK, in order for you to get some flying in on FlyNET whilst we wait for new aircraft to be delivered I have given all pilots a 'Type Rating' on the Fokker 100. Seven of the eight Fokker 100's are now at Stansted and routes are available. Cruise FL250 - FL300 (distance dependant) Cruise speed - M0.64...

Quite a few have the landing lights on the gear legs... the VC10 has flush "turnoff" lights that are left on until 10000' for high vis... or higher if required. Tonks  I guess the intention is for some sort of 'collision avoidance' bright light. Not sure what reg's are, whether the...

I see you get "points deducted" if you have the landing lights on above 10000' ? To be honest, in the VC10, if you still have them on above about 1500' to 3000' you will have knackered them as you will probably be above the max speed for them. Once the Flaps have started travelling you ar...

This will be helpful

Please use the 4 letter ICAO codes (eg. EGSS, EGNX) as the three letter codes (eg. STN/ZSD, CDD/EMA) can change over the years. Besides that, all routes listed at FlyNET use the 4 letter ICAO.
