Re: The AMAZING FSX Hunters - Small problem
its a stable aircraft to fly in FS and therefore easier (compared to say the default F/A18) to land on a british carrier Wow, I would have said the opposite was true, not because of anything to do with stability, but because of the spool-up time of the single Avon engine coupled with the inability ...

Re: The Banana Bomber on Ark Royal
Do FSX carriers have to have cats/wires modelled.. even with ACCEL?? Not modelled as such (e.g. they don't need to be visible), but they do need attach points which end up being invisible but need the appropriate code for the object concerned. For example, a single wire needs two attach points (e.g...

Fleet Air Arm Hunter Trainers
I've just completed the following seven repaints for Dave Garwood's Hunter Trainers in Fleet Air Arm silver-dayglo. Squadrons include 700Z, 738, 759, 764 and 800 NAS, plus HMS Heron station flight and the Air Direction Training Unit (ADTU). Many thanks to DaveQ for providing updated stencils. CHEERS...

Re: The Banana Bomber on Ark Royal
Are you sure you have the latest version? The previous version had loads of different texture maps and certainly hit FPS. The latest has far fewer texture maps, plus bump maps, and is smoother.DaveB wrote:Whopping frame hit too

Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
Ah yes, HMS Eagle from Alphasim... I haven't been holding my breath! We can never have too many classic Brit aircraft carriers in FSX, but when Flying Stations release their HMS Victorious I'll be more than happy and won't hold out for Eagle. As for an updated Sea Venom... Yes please, but I'd...

Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
IIRC there was a replacement texture for this, but as I'm at work right now I can't find out where it came from. There was also a "fix" whereby you copy the canopy texture from the Vampire to the Sea Venom... but then you have to have the Vampire as well! This was all covered on the Alphas...
