Re: Not British but heads up (great work Fraser as always)
The JetStar was equipped with thrust reversers on all its engines, that's why there are four handles and four indicator lights. Another error on the model is the deployment of the leading edge flaps with the first stage of trailing edge flaps. The le flaps deployed with the first lever movement, the...

Re: BAC Test Performance Test Flights
I'm fascinated to know how you can get accurate to 18 lb, surely the gauges aren't that accurate

Re: HS 748 cockpit issue.
On the latest version one shouldn't have to do that as the processing is in the VC section of the panel cfg. The inverters are on by default, can't remember if the alternator switches have to be momentarily held to start or not.

Re: Guernsey Civil Aircraft Register
EASA, in their wisdom, are changing the way general aviation operates, largely through flying clubs who require an element of instruction to make ends meet. Without going into the full detail, even the smallest club currently operating as what's known as a Registered Training Facility has to apply t...

Re: Guernsey Civil Aircraft Register
As somebody who thought it sacrilege when period registrations on classic aeroplanes were replaced with commercially connected substitutes, noticed by only a very few ultimately, I surprised myself by not initially seeing a problem here; if owners are daft enough to spend £20m between them let them ...

Re: Fine Pitch Circuit test button, Viscount 701
Hi Anders, :) I haven't done a dedicated V701 panel, but my panel which represents the early or non Americanised 700s has a switch in the centre of the coaming panel and associated dual filament amber warning lamp labelled PROP LOCK TEST. The switch is centre sprung and is held up for -ve test and d...

Re: Viscount problem
Sorry, post crossover  On the latest versions there are manuals on the kneeboard. Your reference to GYRO makes me wonder; there is a GYRO setting on a Collins integrated flight system autopilot controller, the latest Viscount 813 (SAA) has a Smiths SEP2, similar to the 802/806 setup. I'm wonder...

Re: Viscount problem
Hi Ralf, Can't remember if the V4 ( ie the manual you refer to ) had the warmup delay, but as Ben says there is about a 45 second period between pulling the power switch and the READY light coming on. Can you check it on the ground please; Inverter switch at NORMAL, fail light out, Pull out the powe...

Re: Viscount problem
Hi Ralf, :hello: Check the autopilot section in the aircraft cfg. matches this: [autopilot] autopilot_available=1 flight_director_available=1 default_vertical_speed=1500 autothrottle_available=1 pitch_takeoff_ga=8.0 autothrottle_arming_required=0 autothrottle_takeoff_ga=1 autothrottle_max_rpm=14200....

Re: de Havilland DH114 Heron
Hi Guys :) I honestly had no idea that this project was waiting for me; I've just checked what files I have and the latest are in excess of two years old. My understanding was that work was still required on other parts and I suspect that given the number of stalls on this and other projects (throug...
