Re: The Loop!

Well I did my final visit of 2007 to the Bwlch yesterday and boy was it cold, we think it was about -15 with windchill. Usual Hawks and a 2 ship of Hercules very low through the valley and also an errant Tornado GR 4 who seemed to be lost. Will get some pics up soon. By the way the Bwlch is one way ...

Re: The Loop!

On shot 4 and 5 I can see where I sit perfectly and that is amazing. You are following the road there. I can even tell where you are on the first few.

Bit high on #4, kind of the F15 route ;) But 5 is perfect.

Joe, I can just see the sea, more or less the same as in the screenie!

I have introduced them to the website and your JP. They are loving it. :dancer:

Re: The Loop!

Nope that one is Llyn Tywyn, and the Valley runs to the south. Taly-bont on Usk is in the Beacons?

Is it easier to search by place names or grid ref's? (BTW The Bwlch is just the name of the valley at that point. Not actually a village.)

Re: The Loop!

Hi Ben, It starts roughly at 52.722022, -3.699021 it follows the road down West until open ground and then goes round to the left into Cad again following the road off to the left, just as you go down the valley towards the lake there is a sharp left, there you go. Let me know how you get on. Cheers!

Re: The Loop!

Well the one I got the pics of the herc from is known as Cad East. It is a bit easier to get up and you get more time to spot targets (ok ok planes). We moved to a spot in the after noon which is known as the Bwlch (bulk in english) which is a ridge. The aircraft scream down there and usually pass l...
