Re: Fokker F27

Thanks Ian, there was definitely nothing else on the fuselage, so hard to narrow it down.

Re: Fokker F27

That matches what I saw exactly Andy, nice bit of detective work, well done! As I said, the registration was hidden, but I wouldn't be a surprise if it's one and the same. Thanks.

Re: Fokker F27

Just got back from the airport and...it's a F50! Not my beloved F27 but still quite rare around these parts, can't remember the last time I saw one so not a complete waste of time. Frustratingly couldn't see the reg from where I was. The whole thing was white with a dark blue tail coming down ...

Re: Fokker F27

Sounds doubtful but, what the hell, it'll only take a few minutes to get down there, might as well have a look. I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: Inside Brize Norton.

It wasn't bad actually. the sort of thing the BBC used to make a long time ago. It's blatantly a bit of recruitment propaganda for the RAF but you can't blame them in these times.

Re: Fokker F27

I live in Cramlington (for those not in the know just to the North of Newcastle) and I'm a massive F27 fan. From where you say it's parked, it sounds like it's only visible airside? Shame as my instinct is telling me to jump straight into the car an have a look!

Re: HU BBC2 Friday 21.00

Nice to see aviation on a mainstream channel and not just buried away on specialist ones. I wish the BBC would do more of this, it was heaven just to sit there for a full hour without a single ad break!

Re: Autopilot for Dart Herald?

TBH for less complex aircraft I just use keystrokes I've assigned to engage the autopilot, Alt Hold, HDG and NAV. I've found this works in the vast majority of aircraft I have in my hangar. Not very immersive or realistic, but it gets the job done!

Re: Crazy Bush Flying

Perhaps someone wiser than me can explain whether that counts as 'brave and skilful' flying or 'bloody stupid and unnecessarily risk-taking' flying? *-)
