Assuming you mean for FSX, there are no freeware EGPB sceneries. The only payware ones are ORBX and Scotflight. Scotflight is OK but has far too many trees for an airport in Shetland. It does however give you loads of Scottish airports, even the small ones.

It just occurred to me that we haven't heard from Peter for some time now, March I think. Does anyone know how he is or what he's up to at the moment?

Re: Sad News
I read the news with shock and deep sadness. We have lost a great friend for that is what he was to all of us. I may not have posted much here in the past but have been a very regular visitor to this forum since shortly after it started. I have recognised the help and assistance given by Dave, not j...

Re: New graphics card
Oh ******* (expletive deleted!) I know that what I really need is new internals for my PC but the budget just ain't there. I get the feeling that spending £130+ on a new graphics card will do little more than deplete my bank account. Hmmm, maybe I need to rethink things. Thanks for all your a...

Re: New graphics card
Dave, My 560 needed a big power supply with at least 2 (IIRC) large connectors. The 1050ti gets its power solely from the mainboard :-O The ti certainly scores around 25% higher than the straight 1050 on the PassMark tests but I reckon this means close to diddly squat for FSX. It must, surely, run F...

Re: New graphics card
Hi Mike and Dave, Thanks for your input which helps quite a lot actually. The card I am looking at has 4Gb onboard; I think 2Gb would not make a change worth it. I know that FSX is CPU rather than GPU bound but I cannot afford to sort that yet, if ever. I also know that, having had the experience ma...

New graphics card
With all this recent talk on the forum about hardware upgrades I have been looking at my own rig. Sadly I cannot afford to change the motherboard and CPU but I can just about afford to swap my trusty GTX 560SE for something like a GTX 1050ti. I run both FS9 and FSX and have no intention of moving to...

Re: JustFlight HS748
Nigel. I was thinking about using Rick's files but with the weather up here suddenly becoming very good, flight simming and railway modelling have taken a back seat to the garden It won't last, it never does!

Re: JustFlight HS748
Dave,
I didn't consider swapping both files for Rick's. Tried it and what an improvement. I had to do a little fixing for the visual model but other than that it seems so much better. Now to look at the sound files
