Sorry, guy's but this is getting far too heavy for this time of night.
I'll read through these again tomorrow, but now I need to get some sleep.

Re: Learning to paint...
Now you have joined us happy band of painting nutters Kevin......Whats your next project mate..... ;-) Tony Hmmm.... I have two in mind. One is B727-100 based (the Paintkit for this seems so much more complex than for the DC-9). The other is a DC-8-21 (or any DC-8 with the same fuselage leng...

Re: Learning to paint...
One thing that I appear to have missed ( as pointed out on Retro AI), is addition of metalic textures to the engines. I have no idea how to achieve this. This is my first paint, and what I have produced is simply from opening the paintkit in Photoshop Elements 3 and seeing what I could do by trial a...

Re: Learning to paint...
Thanks for your help and encouragement, guys. I think it's finished now. I've added the detail to the engines, anti-aliased the 'Royal Dutch Airlines' titling and also that of 'DC-9'. I haven't added the aircraft name, below the cockpit or, the reg under the wing. As this is just an AI aircraft, I t...

Re: Learning to paint...
Thanks, Tony / Garry As I'm still learning, I think I'll keep it as an AI aircraft for now. Just my luck - checked Flightsim.com earlier, to find someone posted an AI KLM DC-9 about a week ago (after I'd searched for weeks). At least I've made a start and can use the skill gained, for other projects...

Re: Learning to paint...
A small update... 1. Thinned the blue stripe, as per Garry's suggestion (sorry, Garry. I misunderstood 'too deep' for meaning the colour rather than the height). 2. Adjusted the white stripe to match. I just need to add the engine details and then I think it's finished. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/...
