Re: FSX Westland Wyvern: In the next 24hours
I can't wait for this, it will fit very nicely beside all the other FAA birds in my hangar.

Re: A toast please ladies and gentlemen
Oh and who can forget Susannah York. OH YES! :dancer: I remember watching the BoB movie at the local flea pit as a spotty teenager when it was first released. Seeing Ms. York in those stockings in the bedroom scene brought me out in a hot flush I tell ya. :o I have the BoB movie on DVD now and stil...

Re: Comet crashes...
Thanks for that link Dan. I found the episode fascinating but then I was originally trained as an engineer so the behaviour of metals is something I have some understanding of anyway. I knew the Comets went down due to metal fatigue but for many years I was under the misapprehension that it was meta...

Re: TrackIR 4Pro?
You raised an interesting point re. the varifocals Hobby and I too have a pair that I wear when I need to see long distances or very close distances as in needing to see to solder electronic components or making scale models. The central portion is essentially clear glass in my case as I only need a...

Re: Comet 1 (and 2) for FS2004 and FSX available now
I put FS9 back on this system the other day and have now set up the smoke effects for the Comet 1/2 in FS9 (earlier in this thread is a post noting my FSX settings wouldn't work in FS9 and the reasons why). Here are the FS9 settings: [SMOKESYSTEM] smoke.0= -25.70, -1.50, 11.0, fx_XYZ smoke.1= -25.70...

Re: Comet 1 (and 2) for FS2004 and FSX available now
Thanks Larry, I hope those who have had the problem reads this. By the way, I have the X52 myself, and no problems. I can understand there being small differences in the cut off point as every throttle is going to be slightly different. No two potentiometers are going to be exactly alike (unless yo...

Re: TrackIR 4Pro?
I was the 'other guy' flying with Hobby (you did really well for the first time in MP by the way so don't worry about 'losing' me periodically) and as he says I was using TIR4. Like most of the others here I now cannot fly without it and IMHO it is the most vital hardware add-on I have after my HOTA...
