Re: Oh...I'm getting a medal
Well I'm not getting any further into it. I qualify for one and will be proud to receive it. That's my opinion. It goes a little way to making up for all the crap we have to deal with and the continuous lack of support/respect that this society treats my service and most of the others with.

Re: Oh...I'm getting a medal
But maybe those aren't in the occupations or service that work towards the country? Just a thought.

Re: Oh...I'm getting a medal
I'll be getting one of these and think it's rather a nice gesture. I'll be quite proud of it, if people are going down the "who's paying for it" line, I pay my tax too so rest assured, I'm paying for my own medal!!

Re: Saitek Yoke
I've tried the yoke for 18 months now, with every aircraft and every setting. The conclusion I have come to is that it's crap. As an example, I was a member of Royal Air Force Virtual, and at one point in their VC10 squadron. When we did air-to-air refuelling, I could plug in first time using a joys...

Re: Saitek Yoke
Hmmm, the same as mine. I just can't get small pitch inputs to be smooth. Ah well. It must just be me!

Re: Saitek Yoke
No, not pedals. The trim and all my button settings are fine. It's just the damn pitch!

Saitek Yoke
Morning Chaps. I've had the Saitek ProFlight Yoke for about 18 months now, and just can't get on with it. My main problem is pitch. I can't get it smooth. My approaches look like my aircraft is a Porpoise on Acid!! Roll, throttles etc; all lovely. But I can't get the pitch smooth. Does anyone else u...

Re: Long night.. 1960's over the Med...
Sounds good. I have the IRIS Vulcan and the anti-flash does it for me too! I used to have the Just Flight one back in my FS9 days and the autopilot was more authentic, I.e. an IAS climb function etc. I may be dreaming it, but I'm sure there was a website years ago that gave lots of mission scenarios...

As Columbo would say; er, just one more thing!
Which Canberra is that? It Looks a good model.
You've put me in the mood to plan myself a sortie of some kind now. I just need to dig deep into my inspiration banks.

Re: Long night.. 1960's over the Med...
Ah very good.
I often try creating myself various sorties, normally with the Vulcan or other "cold-war" aircraft but I always seem to bore myself, despite doing the planning and timings, navigation fixes etc.
I just need a bit more imagination I suppose!
