Re: Going to Extremes?
After much prevarication I've made a decision in the great AMD v Intel debate. All the info I have seen so far says that the Intel i7 9700k is probably the current best bang for the buck for gaming and with the recent price drop the argument for going that route was compelling. However, I also under...

Re: Going to Extremes?
Allan, you could go for a partial build from a supplier such as Scan (motherboard, processor, cooler, memory) into a case of your choice and then you just add the other bits. Still a bit fiddly but all you'll be left with is installing and connecting hard drives, extra fans you may have and the vide...

Re: Rebuilding my PC
Thanks for that Chris, that's a cool looking case. Might be a touch small but will measure stuff to see what fits. Drive bays might also be a problem but I need to consolidate the number of hard drives I've got so could well work.

Re: Oh Boy, This Will Blow Your Mind!!
Thanks for that link Ben. A very informative, if frequently buffering, video. It is difficult to see where the likes of ORBX or even Laminar Research go from here. On the face of it this blows X-Plane and general scenery design out of the water. Possible inroads for airports or discrete POIs but it ...

Re: Deja Vu
Thanks chaps! Re Suffolkaters Mike - there are two firms of solicitors in East Anglia - the first is Suffolk and Good. Guess what the others are called? :) Not much simming at the moment to be honest Nigel. Apart from a chronic shortage of time I'm shortly to upgrade my PC to give, hopefully, a much...

Deja Vu
I have been here before!
Unfortunately my password got screwed up and I had no joy resetting it so decided that the best way would be to open a new account and get reincarnated! In my previous life here I was known as chrishunt (I still am in this other world but with a space ).
Regards,
Chris

Rebuilding my PC
I have finally (after months of prompting) got permission from SWMBO to meaningfully upgrade my PC so new motherboard, processor, memory and cooler to be ordered soon(ish). I need to change the case as the current one is not the easiest to work with and the front facing USB ports are actually top fa...

Re: Video: Catapult Ships in the RN (1940)
An extremely informative video - I wonder how it all happened in real life? Much less saluting me thinks.
That was one of those videos that led me down all sorts of rabbit holes.
Regards,
Chris
