Re: Question About BAE146/AVRO RJ Pertaining To EGLC
Aharon,
IIRC, Early146 was not authorised for London City ;
and later ones ( 200/ 300) had to have steep approach modifications ( certainly G-OJET couldn't, hence it was replaced with G-MIMA)
The Avro RJ had steep approach option from build

Re: A rather nice photo.
It could be RAE Bedford but I don’t remember their Phantoms wearing plain grey. The Phantoms are from No. 56 Squadron, Ben and I'd hazard a guess that the Hunters are T7s belonging to Delta Jets. Pete XV410 .. the last Phantom I was working on before Gulf War intervened... IIRC this was a promotion...

Last time I was over at Kermits..
They would only get it flying again if ( big if) someone would come up with the funding to do it.

Re: Such a Tragedy
Looks likely the P63 had the B17 in its blindspot , was commencing it's display and was focused elswhere; we had a similar near miss at Great Warbirds in 1988, a Spitfire ran in to start it's show, while the RAF PR9 Canberra was still doing its routine luckily John Cuthbertson the display director s...

Re: BAe Flights
Walney Island not 146 territory.
IIRC they used a HS125/ Jetstream (HP137) for that and these
Hatfield - Warton
Hatfield-Brough
Dunsfold-Brough
Woodford-Farnborough
My company was doing Warton-Coningsby-Lossiemouth route up until covid shut down

Re: BAe Flights
Hi Chaps, With the nice shiny repaints of the BAe Systems internal 146’s, I was thinking about putting some flight plans together for them between the various BAe, EADS and Airbus factories. Anyone any objections? Hi Ben, regular route is/ were Chester-Bristol-Toulouse and return Warton-Farnborough...
