Re: Fingerpainting by numbers
A 75% opacity setting has produced this comparison between the best shot of the original and the wip. The windows in the MS model seem a bit too tall and I will probably make the stripe a fraction narrower - the reflected stripe on the other side seems a couple of pixels lower but I'll overtake that...

Aliens
A truck driver is cruising towards Sydney when he spots a little yellow man standing in the middle of the road, crying. He brings the truck to a standstill, rolls down the window, and asks the little man what's wrong. "I'm yellow, I'm from Venus, I'm gay and I'm hungry", sobs the little ma...

And during this time I've managed.................... a rudder  Hope no-one is in a hurrry to be truly wafted from paradise, seeing as I'm orft to the Sarf East to see my daughter this weekend. Still, once I've got the lines down the side complete, a quick diversion should pop out a Gibair sch...

Re: Fingerpainting by numbers
Now sticking on the side stripes, how to cope with opacity and the fading effect on colours? So far trying 60% opacity seems to drop the three colour values by about 20-30. Luton not exactly being in the tropics, I don't suppose I can get away with saying it has been out in the sun too long. So at t...

The Empire Boat route to South Africa is on http://www.bluegrassairlines.com
One of these days we'll get round to completing the editing of the flying boat route to Australia. Been saying that for two years mind!

Re: Scimitar version 1.1 released
but I'll grow up one day My kids have given up on me ever getting round to doing that. To look on the bright side, when I had a patch done on the old ticker for free on the NHS, if Patchsim had been into private medicine at the time I could have come out with a droopy flap as well, or a wonky ankle...

Jens,
You may well live to regret this line of thinking!!!
Earls Court would have been twice the size if QANTAS had got hold of a couple of these if we're into might-have-beens.

Re: Fingerpainting by numbers
Well I finally got an approximation of the Air Luton tail beastie pasted over from a photo with a couple of edgeseeker cuts. The logo sits a trifle high, but I blame the shape of the MS model :worried: http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/8330/altailimage2ig6.jpg http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/8144/al...

Hi Tim,
I found this snippet, but then you probably already knew this!
http://www.aerlines.nl/journal.php?m=page&p=13
Maybe someone out there will have a Loganair timetable from the '80s?
Allan

Did I mention this was going to be a slow process? :worried: After dodging in and out to watch the Goodwood Revival bits on ITV4 - I don't remember that much sunshine - and then the GP, I have got : A white rudder and rudder trim tab (I've found the edgeseeker tool!) :$ http://img89.imageshack.us/im...
