Re: Sad cat news

Mike, Sorry to hear that news. We do get attached to the furry rulers of households. SWMBO used to complain that I spoke more to the kids hamsters than her when they had pets. It didn't help when I pointed out they were cuter and only bit occassionally (the hamsters - not the kids, they can be as irr...

Re: Well, Goodbye.

Well, we are getting back to the days of no money - and we haven't even had the budget yet. The Navy Lark was a regular listen on Sundays back in the days before I ended up married to Ramona Povey. I once saw Leslie Phillips coming out of the back door of a theatre in London and throwing a bag into ...

Re: Airspeed - Mike Johnson

Well done Mike - and Margaret and the medical staff.

Take it easy with the recovery. It might be a good idea to borrow a nurse or two to be on the safe side, although that may not be on the safe side of Margaret..... :worried:

Tell her a big boy suggested it and ran away.

cheers,
Allan

Re: News: American Airlines Announces Agreement to Purchase Boom Supersonic Overture Aircraft, Places Deposit on 20 Over

My son pointed out this story which could provide the power solution - if it wasn't utter b*ll*cks. https://www.cntraveller.com/article/hyper-sting-plane I stopped after seeing cold fusion for the power source. Perhaps they should stick to tales about exotic places no-one can afford to go to :) And ...

Re: News: American Airlines Announces Agreement to Purchase Boom Supersonic Overture Aircraft, Places Deposit on 20 Over

Don't panic Joe, after all it all went so well the last time round :) I once managed to persuade my wife that we should pass some time at the Udvar Hazy Museum before leaving Washington Dulles for home. As we wandered round there was a guide talking to a tour that we kept bumping into. A boy in the ...

Re: Our Queen has Passed Away

The bearers have been impressive from the start. They started in Edinburgh, and carried the coffin all the way through to the end. Well done. Vowed not to watch it, but sat there totally engrossed all day. Quite agree, I had thought to watch just the Westminster service but ended up watching all th...

Re: MacRobertson Air Race Anniversary...

On a veering tangent, on November 12th it will be the 103rd Anniversary of the original England to Australia Air Race of 1919. Then the prize was for the first Australian to reach Australia in a British aircraft. Of the six aircraft entered only one, a Vickers Vimy flown by Ross Smith, completed the...

Re: Well that cured me

Apologies for butting in with a tangential question, but can weather files from other versions of Microsoft simulators be used in MSFS?

I suspect the answer is no, but I do know that FSX flightplans are usable.

Cheers,
