Re: Auster Fuel Gauge Question

Ah ! you found me out Dave :$ I usually have my realism sliders set to halfway having read somewhere that fully-right was not realistic . The article claimed that MS had built that setting into FS9 to provide a more exciting experience for the younger computer gamers. However, I was severly beaten a...

Re: Auster Fuel Gauge Question

Well, I'm delighted to see that the Auster is engendering so much interest - a much neglected aircraft in our simmers world. I suppose I could have made the 'invisible' :) fuel gauge bob around, especially in the VC but there comes a time when pure realism must come second place to useability in the...

Re: Autocrat - ic

Interesting useful comments as I'd expect from this forum - Just spent a fun afternoon flying around trying numerous touch'n go's. I confess I've had extreme difficulty getting the aircraft to nose-over on brakes application after landing. Only succeeded once by seriously abusing the poor old thing ...

Re: Autocrat - ic

You may well ask Dave B  you should see (no you don't) what he tried to get me into yesterday ;-) On a practical note - I'm very interested to read all the comments about the performance - here & elsewhere - fascinating to see how folks' experience of the aircraft differ so much. Too fast,...

Re: Autocrat - ic

Delighted you like it Peter :) and in particular, it's thanks to Brian for the handling characteristics . I was fortunate to find a really clear photo of a panel from an Autocrat to base mine on. The fuel gauge is reasonably well calibrated when the aircraft is level only - just don't rely on it - i...

Re: If you build it, They will come.

Hold yer water lad ! as they say up this end of the Country - I've now posted the 2nd beta at the pond (in the members section only - sorry) for the beta testers to have another go at getting me to tear yet more of my rapidly receeding hair out. If they fail and can't find too much wrong, a release ...

Re: Autocrat - ic

Should mention that it's still really in the beta test programme - so don't shoot me if you find some weirdy bits.

Re: If you build it, They will come.

Patience gentlemen ! Must let the hatchet men - sorry, beta testers go over her with their magnifying glasses first ;-) I'm more than a little apprehensive about offering an aircraft known, flown and loved by many including no doubt, folks here. I feel I'm really sticking my neck out this time havin...
