Re: Prepar3d
Could well be, good spot Ben. More experimenting I think.. :cpu: Got Accu-feel working. Not tried any other A2A products yet apart from the B-17, which seems to work except for crew sounds. Only tried copying the files accross from FSX, so it may need a "proper" install. All the Captian Si...

Re: Prepar3d
Been playing / fiddling for a few days now. I've got my AI , most scenery & some addon aircraft installed, so it's now looking pretty much as my FSX installation. Frames rates seem to be around the same, with similar settings. I've turned off bathymetry, & turned down the water reflection as...

Re: Prepar3d
The AI I was trying was the traffic files I'd brought over from FSX, so maybe there's an issue there (AI aircraft were ported over too )

Re: Prepar3d
Hi Ben, I just added the Gen X libraries in the same way as FSX :dunno: I'm having a few issues with setting the weather. The presets work OK, but the custom settings don't work unless I go into the advanced settings. Also some AI doesn't want to show regardless of settings. Looking on the P3d forum...

Re: Prepar3d
Yep, I got the academic version. Their license does say home use, but they also say it can't be used for entertainment purposes. I guess it's ok to use as long as you don't enjoy it

Re: Prepar3d
Didn't get much time after my last post to play, but I should get more time this evening. I've looked though the prepar3d.cfg & compared it to my fsx.cfg. changed a few entries here and there and added in path entries to my fsx simobjects (only my add-ons, not the default stuff). Will add in som...

Re: Prepar3d
Hi Ben,
I put P3d on the same "D" drive as FSX. They should co-exist fine

Prepar3d
Hi all, I've just purchased Prepar3d, and thought I'd use this thread to record my experiences with it to assist anyone else who may be thinking of taking the plunge :) For those that don't know, Prepar3d is produced by Lockheed Martin, based on Microsofts ESP, which in itself was a "profession...
