Will you accept the opinion of the son of a York pilot?
Based on the (later) RAF PNs I have seen, I would think it means set one division of nose-up trim.

Unsurprisingly, I voted for 2D. I like the instant (well almost :smile: ) availability of the 45 degree and side views when driving from the 2D cockpit and also the light level is usually better. I use VCs to look at the view when VFR flightseeing but I don't like the jerkiness of the instruments in...
