Re: Heathrow
I saw a map that showed where the new runway would be on the bbc website, it looked like any aircraft using it would have to taxi a long way to be able to use it. i can't see how that would be useful. I would think it better to add a second runway at Gatwick. http://ichef-1.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpspr...

Re: 240 Million Pounds For London City Airport
That does seem like a lot to just add nine gates, and build some taxiways. For about than that they build a whole new airport in St Helena (granted they did messed it up and now the airport can't be used, but still)

Re: If you need good laugh at British airport
Good to see the RJ-100 could land successfully. Too bad the aircraft is out of production since 2001, they won't have too long before they have to find something else.

Re: If you need good laugh at British airport
Found one one new site that they are looking for a solution but... In the meantime, we are working hard to identify an interim flight solution that can land on our second runway (02, from the south). There is no wind shear on this second runway, but there is a tailwind. We have identified aircraft t...

Re: If you need good laugh at British airport
Not certain FSX would simulate the wind shear correctly. Also the 737-800 has a pretty long range, up to 5,510nm depending on range. More than enough to fly out from Africa, make several attempts and get home, especially if empty. But what to do about that wind shear? Mostly I thought efforts were o...

Re: Alice to Darwin...
I have a ch products rudder pedals that I have not used since I switched from desktop to laptop, never had a problem with them. At the time I bought them they were the only ones available so I can't compare them to any others.
