Tim Peak....why the fuss?

Am I missing something? Despite sharing schools ( Chichester High School for boys, but he joined 7 years after I left!) with this guy, I dont get the fuss being made about going into orbit as the junior crewman on the ISS, orbitting is something done by astronauts from many counties ( 45 counties in...

Re: High Flight film on YouTube.

The 43 Sqn. Hunter footage was meant to be 111 Sqn, but was changed due to weather and operations. Apart from the Vampires swapping from two to single seat variants mid air, most of the stuff is good, bearing in mind it's date. There is another, similar film available, called ' Conflict of Wings' a ...

Re: End Of Mid Air Squadron

I read that the Vulcan crew are taking on work for one of the UK Mosquito projects, but there experience is much closer aligned with the PR9. Saw her twice last year, she is quite a performer....doubt if we'll see that again, whatever happens .

Re: Lightning F3 Simulator - Help Wanted

Thought I'd raise this thread from the dead....rather like myself, at least on this forum! I'm now a volunteer at Tangmere again, after a gap of 8 years whilst living abroad and the Lightning sim is still doing a fantastic job, keeping visitors entertained. I soon got myself 'passed out' as an instr...

Re: Visit to the Imperial War Museum, Duxford...Part 2

Great photos Peter, was planning a trip there myself, but have just read that the US exhibition hall reopens in March next year, so might wait a few months. Still looks very impressive.
