Re: AI Traffic Generator Program

This is the only GA AI Generator I know of, which seems to be different to that mentioned above: http://www.library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=gaaigenerator32.zip&CatID=root&Go=Search It may have been for FS2002 but still does the job well. The features I like about it are realistic reg...

Re: DH Heron Freeware

I have these. The aircraft is one that Dee waldron made for AI and someone converted to a flyer, cant remember who now. It was me. Guilty m'Lord. It was never intended to be perfect but it has filled a gap and has given many others, as well as me, a lot of pleasure. Its on AVSIM - list of "bit...

Re: Double Lighthouse at Longship

Longship Lighthouse (with landable helipad, apparently) is part of a big collection:
Nick Ryall - South West England Landmark Scenery

The readme.rtf file is dated 2004 so its pretty old. I don't know the name of the zip file, I'm afraid, and I have to dash out.

Re: An-2

Yes, they are seriously slow and ponderous. If there is a strong headwind they can actually fly backwards. I asked an An-2 pilot that I got talking to and he confirmed it is true. If I remember rightly V2 is 43 knots. Wonderful machines, such a shame that the bureaucracy means we can't travel as pas...

Re: ATC question

Cheers, John - I hope I haven't caused you any embarrassment or extra work, but you are something of an 'unsung hero' in the ATC/EVP field, and I think your efforts should be recognised. Many thanks for all your work that I currently enjoy. ATB MikeW Ha! No embarrassment or extra work at all, but a...

Re: ATC question

Hello hello, did I hear somebody mention my name? If we are talking FS9, yes, the callsign "LIAT" is available - twice in fact! If you do an Online Update in Editvoicepack (its through the Help Menu), it will be added to your system. However, that one isn't the best of renditions and I act...

Re: Coventry airport closed with immediate effect.

Hi John, I think that just covers the tower, so I'm sure the airfield is still useable. Does anyone who knows about such things know what the situation is? Can Air Atlantic still use the airfield without ATC? Now that is a good point - you can land anywhere without ATC, even in a field if it suits ...

Re: Coventry airport closed with immediate effect.

This thread has gone very quiet - does anybody know what is actually happening? I cannot find anything on the web either, other than: Classic Flight : http://www.atlanticairlines.co.uk/ Says December 12th engine run-up cancelled but lists proposed flights for 2010. No mention of a new base now or pr...

Re: HS748 Taxispeed

Absolutely, I don't dispute the right way to taxi and fly the things but we don't all have state of the art controls and I experience exactly the same as has been described - you open up power, the aircraft rockets off unrealistically, you shut back power and it grinds to a halt unrealistically. So ...
