Dave As a member of the VA I may be out of place here, but I don't put in as many hours as I could because the route structure is a little restrictive for my personal preferences. Being limited to one VA on Flynet is part of the problem, and much as I like flying UK routes, I also like flying in Sou...

I downloaded the beast, tried it.....and agree with you completely

It flies very nicely, it is complex enough for button pushers, and the INS is one of the best things around.

It won't replace the budgie as my favourite toy, but it has a place on my HD.

Same here Joe. I don't use any part of the ATC engine on Flynet. I do use it sometimes on long haul routes when I'm not working for CBFS, but usually only for clearance at the start and the approach at the end of the run. In the middle I just ignore ATC.

I never use it with Flynet, I can't stand some of the weird and wonderful vectors that you get. As I mostly fly the budgie I find it much more satisfying with paper charts and VOR/NDB navigation. If I could persuade Mrs alemaobaiano of the fact that Radar Contact would improve my life by 100% I woul...

Here the prices for lessons are around £90 for a Cherokee and £70 for the local version of the Cub, although that has gone up a bit with the high oil price  I can also rent the Cub for £50/hour if I want to play about by myself, although you really have to book well in advance. Thats from t...

Thanks Ben, I have no idea how long I'll be out of action, but leaving Tridents all over the place is a little messy if somebody else needs it.

Stranded Trident

Gents

Due to a slight technical hitch (home PC died :crying: ) Trident 3 G-AWZA is currently in Dublin and will be for a little while. Should anyone be overcome with desire to bring her home, go ahead.

Once my PC is back on line I'll bring her back if needed.

At the risk of facing a very gruesome fate, I'll admit that the only payware still on my machine is the PSS Airbus series (320/330/340), the PSS Vulcan, and the Flight One C421 Golden Eagle, all of which come from the FS2002 era. I haven't bought anything new for years, the quality of freeware these...

As ever, an excellent post. Your histories are always interesting and never fail to expand my flight sim experience. I've never been much into the 707, but I'm going to download several and try them out.

Thanks for your efforts, and keep them coming.
