Re: FSX Not Responding
Well the High Priority didn't solve the problem, standard ten minute "not responding" pause over northern France en route from Bergamo back to Bournemouth, then a total sim crash five minutes later - First time it has done that!.

Re: FSX Not Responding
Does it then matter what other programs I start and in what order? I do feel like it has been a backwards going from my five year (WIN 7 64 bit) old PC running FS9 with FS Realtime Active Sky FS Commander FS Navigator FS Airlines to a very high spec PC (still WIN 7 64 bit) with FSX Gold which suffer...

Re: FSX Not Responding
Hi Ade. Copy " start /high fsx.exe" (dont include the quotes) say using notepad and save it to the desktop as startfsxhigh.bat Click on bat file which will alter the priority to high as it loads fsx. Dont know if it will work for you, but it worked for me ;) Dale So the BAT file will laun...

Re: FSX Crashes - Sorted!!
I, on the other hand, have the latest FSUIPC and still get "stutters", the sim wil go into "not responding" mode for almost exactly ten minutes at random times/locations. UIAutomationcore did not cure it either. Any ideas (FSX Gold, Win7 64bit Home Premium - very high spec system)

Re: My Tires Are Smok'n
I find most aircraft have smoking tyres just taxiing above ten knots, heck ConcordeX even has sparks coming off the wheels (don't know if that is related to the brake fans though)

Re: FSX Not Responding
FSUIPC is necessary for FSAirlines isn't it? I am sure it must be required for Flight Sim Commander and Active Sky. I did read that the very latest version of FSUIPC was needed to prevent this, well I have that and it doesn't cure the problem. I also have UIAutomationcore, which still doesn't do the...

FSX Not Responding
Anybody know why FSX keeps freezing and "not responding" for ten minutes mid flight?
Recovers and most times FS Airlines keeps going, just occasionally it throws teddy out of the pram and terminates flight.

Re: Angle of Attack when landing.
I have to say I have a few issues with some of the comments above. Conventional wisdom is 1.3 * Vso to give an adequate margin above stall speed. Vso (Stall speed with gear extended and land flap) is dependant on weight (lift is proportional to speed squared) hence approach/touchdown speed is relate...

That is the only option I have not yet tried, because I quite like real weather. Will give that a go next chance I get, which will probably be next Monday.

Re: Nvidia GTX 970 memory flaw ?
I have a GTX980, ( 4Gb GDDR5 ) running four monitors, seems to be working OK, I get 30 FPS in FSX Gold with great ease.
(rest of system is quite high spec as well)
