Re: It's not all bad....
If anyone is interested in Fleet, Hampshire, in one of the charity shops (one that has lots of furniture) is a large painting of a BEA aircraft. It's kindof poorly painted but looks old, perhaps somekind of commision or travel centre painting. Not sure what the aircraft is but it's in BEA colours re...

DG Hunters, broken after restore point.
Hi, PC threw a wobbly (Vista) and resorted to a restore point restore which fixed it. Reinstalled all my aircraft again only now all the DG Hunters show squares out the back instead of smoke. So seems a texture is missing. Which texture? I've tried reinstalling the aircraft but it hasn't fixed the p...

Re: A2A Cub is out
Hi, not tooo excited about the Cub. Would be good if they could create a Swordfish, Tigermoth or similar British bi-plane aircraft with accusim. In defense of A2A and Accusim, I have the P47 and it is simply the best single engined aircraft out there at the moment. The engine sounds alone are worth ...

Re: New Lancaster due next month....
Yes, I thought it was rather nice too. I picked up a Hasegawa Dambuster Lanc for under £20 from Hannants. I also have the BBMF set (one built and on display, one a gift for me for xmass) waiting in the wings. Just finished an old Airfix Hampden using my new airbrush. First try. Lots of cock ups but ...

Re: New Lancaster due next month....
On the subject of Lancasters have you seen the new Airfix Dambuster Lancaster complete with boucing, bouncing bomb and Mohne Dam. Looks rather nice. Or you could just build some full size mockups.

Since you pointed out the dome, yes the model cockpit looks all wrong :-(.

Re: New Lancaster due next month....
I thought the model looked all wrong too but then was surprised how deep the cockpit it, and how slopey the nose is on a real lanc. http://www.zap16.com/zapnew/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/lancaster-pa474-may07-02.jpg BTW I didn't think it was necessary to hold the tail down during engine runups, or d...
Re: Intercept
Hey, that's a very nice Hunter repaint.
What's the drone aircraft? I'm not familier with that. Is it available for FSX?
Thanks,
Ted.

Re: XH558 - RIAT 09 (Video)
I watched her takeoff on the Sunday. Pretty astounding. Was it a wingover at the top? Looked almost inverted.
Not as loud as I remember from North Weald days but I guess they are trying to preserve her.
