If they did purchase the RCN Ansons, they were Mk. V's - with round windows on the fuselage and the perspex nose. They were all sold off in 1952...

Re: FSX and Windows 7 32 or 64 bits?
Hi, I actually went about it backwards. I had already purchased the Reality XP package prior to getting the Dreamfleet aircraft. I'd never heard of them until I saw them featured in one of your posts. After reading the descriptions on Dreamfleet's website, I figured I'd have no problem swapping out ...

Re: FSX and Windows 7 32 or 64 bits?
Bear in mind that some of the more complex payware aircraft will not run on 64 bit and some like Dreamfleet will not be converted so you lose them. Peter, I'm running Win7 64-bit, and I've got all of the Dreamfleet aircraft running fine. The only issue I had was with the version of the A36 with the...

Re: 633 Squadron
...ah, but you see this one had it's wheels up and the pilot cooling fan thingy on the front spinning... Actually, I just realized I muddled the story (get my name wrong some days...) The Spit that's in Gatineau isn't the same one, it's just the lads who took care of the engine/airframe of the one t...

Re: 633 Squadron
Not really off topic... Cliff Robertson (the "American dude" in the movie) used to own a Mk.9 Spitfire, that just like the old stories go, was hangared in a barn a few miles from the little town I lived in in Southern Ontario. That Spit has now been sold, and lives just across the river fr...

Re: USS Enterprise
I know a guy in Montreal who's building a 1/48th scale HMCS Bonaventure... he's been at it for years, figures he's got at least another 10 to go! At least the airwing is smaller than what this gent had to build!

Re: Odd FS9 Experience at CYLT
Sir, Twilight zone sums it up perfectly! I just landed - everything I've done in CYLT involved taking off and looking around, but I felt "what the heck?"... landing is even more fun than taking off! The aircraft was sort of slewing through the air, lined up with the runway, with everything...
