Re: WOP Lancaster and B17. WOP II B17.
Hi, thanks for the replies. I've been using diferential brakes and throttles to try and taxi the B17. I guess I'll just have to practice some more if the model is true to the original. As for the Lancaster. I have sp1 and 2 installed. Is there any way I can add textures to the model or is it a majpr...

WOP Lancaster and B17. WOP II B17.
Hi, first off I found a copy of Wings of Power in my loft and copied the aircraft into FSX. The aircraft fly well but have a few issues you may be able to help with. The Lancasters all have black windscreens. I've seen a few posts about the glass.bmp and changing the alpha channel colour but try as ...

Earlier this year I spent a weekend in Lincolnshire. A local told me about Metheringham and the section of disused RAF Bomber Command airfield runway. Particularly poingnant that poppies have decided to grow all along it's length. http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr35/DogTailRed2/poppy_runway.jpg ...

One of the last Great Warbirds Air Displays was held at Wroughton and the museum was open for free.
Had a good look round. Seem to remember a Lockheed Connie among other aircraft.

How to simulate a joystick correctly (hardware)
Hi, I have a saitek yoke which is great for flying aircraft with a spectacle type control column. Has anyone managed to simulate correctly an aircraft joystick for use with joystick type aircraft. The usual desk mounted joystick doesn't seem quite right especially when using rudder pedals. Something...

Wow, a Mossie. Can't wait.
Can you make all the fuel tanks selectable if poss please as I have to fly home from the Rhur on one engine in the Beau and the c/o keeps complaining.
BTW has anyone tried flying the dams course from Southwold to the Dams and back in the Beau. It's a blast!

Re: FSX Westland Wyvern: In the next 24hours
Nice aeroplane which I think will take me a while to master.
Has anyone on this forum actually flown a Wyvern and can comment on the FSX flight model.
To me it seems rather sluggish in turns and lacks drag with the throttle closed.

Re: How Many....
I'm one of those fortunate (unfortunate maybe) simmers who went from FS2000 to FSX so I've no idea what fs9 (is that fs2004??) was like. FSX was part of an upgrade for me so I've gone quad core, proper flight controls and track IR. With UK VFR Scenery and airports, two freeware aircraft and a few pa...
