Are you sure the Accel SDK is IDENTICAL to the SP.1a you have already? You said the file size is the same but are the file creation dates the same too?

Hmmmm.....I'm not sure but I THINK they mean do not install FSX SP.2 if you have Acceleration installed and not do not install the SDK SP update....they are different animals.

Have you installed the SDK which is part of Acceleration? If not that is perhaps why you don't see the .chm file.

Here's a screenie of my setup and you can clearly see the help file (fsxsdk.chm) at the bottom of the list in the SDK root folder. Double click on the .chm file to open it.

I'm not sure if it has to be on the same drive but I have my FSX in 'E:\FSX' and my SDK in 'E:\FSX Tools\SDK'

Yup Dave covered just about all the bases in his reply. The basic maps are just like painting in FS9, the spec maps and bump maps (if available) add another element to play with. I actually much prefer to paint in FSX and I have a lot more options. Just recently I perfected the 'metallic paint' effe...
