Hi Paul,

Will you accept the opinion of the son of a York pilot?

Based on the (later) RAF PNs I have seen, I would think it means set one division of nose-up trim.

I believe the registration display is controlled from the aircraft.cfg file. Try inserting: atc_id_enable=0 above the atc_id= line in the relevant [fltsim.xx] section of the .cfg file. As a temporary measure, you can also switch off the registration by unticking the "show aircraft id" box ...

Thanks Tonks. It was nice to meet you too (at last). Apart from getting boiled alive on Saturday and a sore throat from all the "war stories" on Sunday, I don't think we had a bad weekend. Visitor numbers to the Shack were definitely up on last year. My thanks to all who supported the even...

Thanks Martin - I am particularly interested in the limitations (especially engine limitations and settings), handling (take-off, stalling and landing important) and fuel consumption data. In the meantime I'll make a start on the Seamew.

Thanks for the data Hobby - I'm on the case but it may take a while as I am quite busy at the moment. I'll have a good look at the dimensions and the performance data provided and make a few decisions based on my flying experience to come up with something which may or may not be like a Seamew's han...

If anyone has the Pilots' Notes and can give me some data, I will see what I can do about the FDE  I'm afraid I'm a bit too busy to do my own research at the moment

Sounds like there is a job here  Unfortunately, I have no idea how the Seamew is meant to fly. If anyone has any data, I'll give it a go

Unsurprisingly, I voted for 2D. I like the instant (well almost  ) availability of the 45 degree and side views when driving from the 2D cockpit and also the light level is usually better. I use VCs to look at the view when VFR flightseeing but I don't like the jerkiness of the instruments in...

Having quite a few thousand hours on multi-engined aircraft, I am sometimes surprised by the workload in FS. Mind you, most of it is self imposed  I tend to fly IFR with real weather and a fair amount of traffic and departures and arrivals can get quite busy because their is no co-pilot to sh...

IMO, the major problem for FDE designers is that we have no idea what control device "customers" will use with FS9 or how it will be set up. Furthermore, the realism sliders in the Aircraft menu can also greatly affect handling. I tend to set all the parameters in the .air and .cfg files t...
