Re: A Naval Birthday....

Hawker Nimrod was the naval equivilent of the Hawker Fury biplane. Very tasty little number it was too.

There used to be another pub called The Aviator beside the aerodrome at Croydon. Had a DH Dove outside, I think.

Re: Some old kits

I often wonder why people are buying that Valiant kit. The resale price topped out years ago so as an investment it doesn't really make sense. Way too expensive to build as well. :dunno:

The Britannia and the Hampden were new to me.

Re: W3K HDD on WXP system?

Hi Dan,

I had the same problem with one of my drives a while ago. It turned out that my power supply was not suppying enough oomf for it. Of course I only realised that there was nothing wrong with the drive after I had formatted it. :@

Re: Control surface deflection angles real acft

Now that the beta model has been released the aircraft is of course Steve's Sea Hawk. If any member has some real life information on the control surface deflection angles I would be very pleased to receive it. Hi Hobby, E-mail the Fleet Air Arm Museum. They will be able to give you the correct fig...

Another colour shot (amongst others) of the Viv Bellamy machine via the key Publlshing forums:

Viv Bellamy was a giant in the post-war British aviation field. He well deserves a thread of his own.
