At the risk of sounding a pain :worried: it is not a DH.86 This is a DH.86B which along with the DH.86A which did not have the extra fins, this is a 2 pilot aircraft The DH.86 had a single pilot in a Dragon like nose and looked very different as a result ;-) Garry Hi Gary, Thats not entirely correc...

Illustrations in the Finish Blenheim Mk.1 manual show that style of DF loop, so I assume that it is a standard fitting.

The mail carriers had four tanks in the fuselage, each holding 330 gallons. There is a very good in-depth article on the Albatross in the November 1938 issue of "Flight". You can find it using the archive search facility over at the Flight International site. Blimey! Thats a Lancaster fuel...

Oops. A bit late in finding this thread. The RAF Museum has a vast collection of UK airfield plans. Although it is an "RAF" museum, I would imagine that they probably have plans for the FAA bases. I've bought photocopies from them in the past and they are excellent. It normally takes about...

It's bee hit by something......otherwise not too bad for something left out in a dirty city envoironment. Yeh, the East Fortune Comet looks in pretty good shape in the photos I took a couple of years ago too, but the reality was a bit different. I'm a bit concerned about the reports of peeling pain...
