Re: Guy Gibsons Dog Renamed for Film

There is generally a good reason films are changed from the books they represent/are based on. Quite right ! In LotR, there are several chapters which are purely literary devices, to provide the Hobbits with weapons (in the movie, Aragorn seems to have organised an SOE drop) or to let the traveller...

Re: Guy Gibsons Dog Renamed for Film

Despite the danger of giving this proposed remake even more free publicity, can I just express my opinion by making a few points? 1 - This proposal has nothing to do with paying tribute to the courage of the RAF people who took part in the raid. It is all about reassuring Peter Jackson that his is b...

Re: de Havilland DH.86 Express

Well I love these old machines, and I was delighted to see this one. Nice visual model, sound is better aliased to Dave Garwood's Rapide, but I think an unfinished or unmodified FDE has been included in the upload. I pointed it down the runway at East Midlands, set neutral trim and first stage of fl...

Re: TrackIR 4Pro?

With a good VC, Track IR is brilliant, and even with a duff one, you can still look over the side when taxiing a tail dragger.
You will soon find it is best not to let go with a big sneeze when you're on short final :$

Re: K2

Cheers, Rich -
I was writing about getting a usable Beverley into FS9, drawn from my experience helping Dennis (511flyer) in the Visual Flight forum.
All the info is in the threads I linked to - I had no intention of typing it all again, or even copy/pasting it. ;-)

Re: K2

A new Beverley would be nice. In the meantime, you can make a pretty decent Beverley for FS9, but it takes a lot of patience. You can read the whole gory saga here: http://www.visualflight.co.uk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7346 http://www.visualflight.co.uk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7316 The files wer...

I'm relieved you're not going to buy one.

Re: AFG Caravelle released!

Hi -
Just installed the Swissair one. Nothing heard from AVG Free 8 during download or install, and post-install my newly-updated Spybot 1.5.2 reported no problems. I downloaded from Flightsim.
