Re: MSFS SDK
Yes, it took me over an hour to get my idewinder working. i am still figuring out how to get a top-down view and being able to slew with thr joystick. Re: MSFS 2020 First Impressions

Re: Which Version of MS2020 Would You Buy?
Basically, functions that aren't necessary for flying aren't yet enabled. That includes opening doors on the default models. :-O :| I think they meant in flight, there are plenty of videos on YouTube with doors open on the ground. One of the developers was talking about opening the canopy in flight...

Re: Imagine my surprise...
I believe so, they're essentially flying under military contractor regulations as it allows them to operate in the low flying system etc. and I'm not sure if the type is cleared to fly on the civvy register other than under permit to fly regulations which wouldn't allow them to fly with more than 4 ...

Just to confirm the aircraft are operated by HeliOps for training foreign crews from their base at Portland. That's on the site of what was, over 20 years ago now, RNAS Portland but is now totally privately owned. So no UK military involvement as such.

It was the name of a dog, it's still mentioned in any history of the raids where the full context is available. If you're learning history from gravestones you're doing it wrong. What it isn't is on public display so any ethnic minority member of the services can see it and draw the conclusion their...

Re: Hmmmmmmm.....
Thr RAF generally named its radars after colours, so Blue Silk and Geen Satin (doppler),Red Steer (tail warning), Orange Harvest (ESM Shackletons) Blue Diver ( ECM). It was inevitable that the concrete ballast in the Tornado nose was called Blue Circle. Nev Not just radars, British post-war develop...
