Re: Any good Freeware 727s
The 727 hosted by HJG is Erick Cantu's Vistaliners 727, one of the best freeware aircraft ever created for FS9. I spent many hours "flying" them for Virtual Eastern Airlines back when they were still going strong. Great model made only better by the contributions of HJG's experienced crew!

Re: Flying for Real..
I always use epoxy to attach the horizontal and vertical stabilizers as the can take a lot of stress, same reason it's used for joining wing halves. Keep the foam safe CA (longer bonding time) and kicker with you when you fly in case you need to make field repairs. Some foamies use a type of foam th...

Re: Still practicing
Ugh. Trying to get back into the flow is proving to be harder than I thought. Dont think my mind is quite as agile as it used to be, or maybe there's simply too much clutter in there these days - anyone know where I can get a pensieve like Dumbledore's?

Re: No Resources? How?
Whenever I finish a flight in FS2004 or FSX I always restart the sim before changing aircraft for another flight. The only exception is when I'm just doing short hops or a couple of pattern circuits to check out new aircraft.

Still practicing
Before I ask for type rating recertification flights I want to get my skills back. I'm practicing flights in the VC9 right now, trying to nail things down again. It's amazing how much you can forget after not having flown for a while!

Re: Flying for Real..
The plane is new. Well, relatively - built it a few months ago and maidened it last fall. Flies like a dream, very stable yet also very maneuverable. No vids of flying yet, wife hasn't been able to go out with me to record my flights. Hopefully I can get her out next time I fly. I originally got int...

Re: Jack Tramiel, Father of the Commodore 64, Dies
My brother and I had a Commodore VIC-20 at first, then I purchased a C= 64. That computer and I had a lot of good times together until the power brick died and killed it (common ending for the 64 unfortunately). I learned the joys of debugging binary code from that computer, as well as just how fun ...
