Re: Flying for Real..
One thing I've noticed today.. while doing control surface checks, the rudder (although centering) moves further when LH rudder is applied than when RH rudder is applied. I've tried to get my head around why this is happening but can't. I flew all day with it like that and all it means is that I ha...

Re: Flying for Real..
I've been into RC airplanes for over 20 years, off and on. Had to take a break for several years due to school and other concern. Got back into it just recently and built the first kit in far too many years: Carl Goldberg Tiger 60 http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i144/cofrbooboo/RC/IMG_3373-1.jpg T...

Re: Ah, the joy...of reinstalling FSX
The problem was somehow the AI aircraft ended up in both 'SimObjects\Airplanes' and 'SimObjects\AIAircraft' (the latter being my dedicated AI sub-folder). I deleted the duplicates from the '\Airplanes' folder and all is well. I also went ahead and used the linked software to convert them to FSX form...

Re: Ah, the joy...of reinstalling FSX
Of all the stupid....
The dang installer copied all the AI aircraft from my dedicated "SimObjects\AIAircraft" folder to "SimObjects\Airplanes" when I wasn't looking! No wonder I wasn't finding any duplicate entries in the .cfg files!

Re: Ah, the joy...of reinstalling FSX
I'm using the standard packages available from WoAI, installed via their installer. Only difference that I'm aware of is where it looks for the AI aircraft since FSX puts them in the SimObjects folder. The aircraft files are the standard ones from various sources. Doing the reinstall didn't fix the ...

Ah, the joy...of reinstalling FSX
A few months ago I upgraded my OS from XP Pro to Win 7 Home Premium. It was a pretty smooth upgrade all-in-all, only minor issues usually fixed by reinstalling software. I hadn't checked all of my flight sims until a couple of days ago when I discovered that FSX wasn't working, so a reinstall was in...

Re: V2 found nose down in the mud in Harwich Harbour
I'd take a V2 over a hydrogen bomb like the one still missing near Tybee Island, Georgia.

You gotta buy it, just like the Mustang and the Maule.
