Re: Not been a good year!

I hope they get you sorted out Nigel and back up and running well as soon as possible. My brother lives in Lincoln and he also has had some significant health challenges recently (is it a Lincoln thing). I visited him recently (staying at Hartsholme camping site); our first trip to Lincoln in a whil...

Change of Direction

At the end of March this year and after 2 years on my latest assignment I said goodbye the world of work and retired. Hopefully for good. Somewhat to my surprise (or perhaps not) I quickly adapted to the lack of stress and found I didn't miss work one bit  . What we did instead was to buy a mot...

Re: Wedding Anniversary Card

Happy anniversary Nigel! 43 years is quite the stint and I think we've pretty much all been there - there's the wife's way and there's the what are you doing it like that for way.

Hope you have a great day.

Re: Happy Birthday to Chris Hunt & crspbits 64 each

Many thanks Chaps and Graham is correct we are one and the same. Apparently they do still need me and occasionally feed me. Good to know. I haven't had much time for flight sim or pretty much any non-work computer activities for the last few years. That's (kind of) soon to change though. Last year w...

Re: New RTX out soon

Have you seen the size of these cards? Absolutely huge, also heavy enough to require support. The high-end cards have crazy power requirements so if you don't have the power supply to cope that's another cost. The good news is that there's probably enough heat produced by these things to brew a dece...

Re: Current CTDs on MSFS.

I was getting regular CTDs using MSFS until I turned off all streaming except for scenery. That stopped the CTDs but I see this as a workaround rather than a fix. I haven't been on my desktop since July and am deeply grateful to have missed this latest round of CTD happiness. Hopefully by the time I...

Re: Solstice Sadness

The Unthank Arms got me thinking about Unthank Rd. Where on earth did the name come from. Granted it's seen better days but there's worse places to live. My daughter lives just off Unthank Rd Paul and my wife and I are regular visitors to Norwich (miles better than Ipswich :hide:). We haven't been t...
