Re: Do you know.....?

Dry January and I have to say I have been sleeping like a baby. I think I may stay off the Vino permanently (apart from weekends, special occasions and days ending in Y) I've tried assorted adult beverages as well as Melatonin and various OTC sleep aids. I still never manage to get more than ...

Re: Fuel crisis

 Nice one, Graham! Our prices over on this side of the pond are equally atrocious...although still thankfully not as severe as over there. That Bucc might get better fuel mileage than my daily driver Hemi Dodge Charger. Reliable as an anvil, but it won't win any Greenpeace awards... :dunno:

Don’t know why I can’t get my direct link to the file to work…but it’s filename on Flightsim.com is: tu16v1.zip Although it’s listed as an FS2002 model, I recall using it in FS9 with no problems as well. FS2002 - FS2002 Aircraft FS2002 Tupolev 16 Badger [ Download | View ] Na...

Re: Ilyushin Il-12 for FS2004

One of my favourites was a civilian Tu-16 Badger ( not the Alphasim one ) which was used as a high speed mail plane from the USSR's far east to Moscow. Ditto, Paul! I recall that model well. It was one of my first forays into the virtual Russian aviation world many years ago (assuming this is the o...

Re: My daughter, the plane spotter

joining just after the Korean War, and leaving just before the Vietnam war. Now that's wisdom ! Wise man for sure! Unlike my unlucky dad. He shipped out for basic training the day JFK was shot. Supremely bad timing. He feared he'd be huddled in a foxhole fighting the Russians/Cubans or turned...

Re: My daughter, the plane spotter

Ah, I know the rolling farmlands of PA well. My sister lives near Butler, not too far from Pittsburgh. Nice! Funny - I've been throughout the US and much of Canada, but I've never set foot anywhere near the Pittsburgh area...even though it's only the other end of my own state...about a 5 hour drive...
