Re: Instant Scenery V2
Hi Chaps, In an effort to make my water mask easily (or so I thought) I started tracing out all of the channels etc in the harbour with a poly and set it as water class. So that didn't work  Just wasted an hour (or 3) was that using FSEarthtiles method? I used FSEarthtiles to create my scenery...

Re: The fleet is in
Don't know if you guys are aware (probably are though), but Simon Swallows Portsmouth highrise scenery for FS2004 is also compatible with FSX (I use it in FSX for my Portsmouth scenery). Has some nice dockyard buildings, a couple of low poly type 23's, Victory, Warrior, and HMS Ark Royal, as well as...

Re: calling 'fisheads' and 'wafu's'
Looking at these great screenshots I'm obviously spending too much time modelling and not enough flying!! I know the feeling there mate! My precious little sim time is spent between Max and Photoshop these days, I did have a modeling hiatus after grabbing P3D earlier this month, and your Invi...

Re: calling 'fisheads' and 'wafu's'
The drawing board is full lads. Ark royal and illustrious ready to go over the next two weeks, invincible 82 and USS oriskany after that- then at various stages of construction: HMS Queen Elizabeth (CVF) CVA-01 (very early stages) HMS Hermes (island completed no textures) HMS Albion (current LPD) Ty...

Re: calling 'fisheads' and 'wafu's'
I'm definitely sticking with boats - aircraft are too hard! (who'd have thought an ex-crab would say that!!)
But I wanted some basic SHAR objects on the flight deck otherwise she looks a bit bare. I'll keep plugging away

Re: calling 'fisheads' and 'wafu's'
Might release an updated texture set down the line toning down the blue colour...then people can pick and choose what they prefer.
Still trying to create SHAR objects for the flightdeck....boats are easier nice and angular....aircraft are far too curvy!!
Cheers

Re: calling 'fisheads' and 'wafu's'
Is there no FSX Harrier? I seem to remember a nice looking GR3 / SHAR (my personal favourite) but I think that was FS9. Indeed Dave, RN Grey is clear as mud in FS  I like Fearless / Intrepid as I think they're a good match, but then I was comparing Glam with Dauntless when she was on the Tyne ...
