Re: One of my favourite aircraft
There's that weird distorted view in MSFS again. In the final pic, the ground shadow is nicely lined up with the centreline, but the aircraft looks like it's heading elsewhere. It was something that I saw in the early promo. shots, and thought it would be fixed eventually. *-) Or is it just me!? :d...

One of my favourite aircraft
This is one of my favourite aircraft. One of my simple pleasures is to ogle at it in VR whilst chancing a flight at low level with AI Control (i.e. the MSFS in-built simple autopilot), in this case from Llanbedr to Mona via Snowdonia. Re: Black Box Islander for MS2020 - opinions ?
he’s very good at making adjustments with constructive feedback, and making them pretty quickly. Respectfully, this may be the case in some instances, but not all. The Bird Dog appeared to have a spate of updates for a while (e.g. up to Spring '21 from what I can see) but these seem to have stopped...

Re: M.2 or SSD?
I'm late to the party, as usual! My 2p is to buy SSD and avoid M2. The sim isn't capable of reading data at those kind of rates for it to make a difference (in other words, it won't cause the sim bottleneck when flying). In terms of load times the difference will be negligible (to the point you woul...

Re: Black Box Islander for MS2020 - opinions ?
I'm really pleased to see BBS releasing a major update! I really hope they continue to release other, smaller updates as time goes on (as most other developers tend to do these days). I also hope they respond to feedback and release updates for their other products, which have some shortfalls (see t...

Re: VR headset recommendations, please
Here's another question - what about spectacles ? Since the cataract operations, I have normal distance vision, but need specs for the computer and for reading. When wearing those spectacles, anything closer than about 8 inches from my eyes goes out of focus. If the VR headset displays are just an ...

Re: VR headset recommendations, please
Someone else on another forum is recommending the Valve Index - any thoughts there ? If we were discussing this prior to Autumn 2020 (when the Reverb G2 was released) the Valve Index would be a serious proposition (though actually more costly new than a Reverb G2). That said, if you're interested i...

FWIW I don't fly in anything other than VR now... there is no going back!
