Looks like an excellent system. One thing to think about, I was looking at big SSD drives yesterday and saw a 2TB SSD for about 500-600$US, so you should be able to find one for a reasonable price and do without the spinning metal.

Joe, The supermoon was supposedly 14% larger, and 30% brighter, but you say you only got 7% and 15% :( Did you look at the left and right, or only one side? Did you have both eyes open? The 'Supermoon', was just 7% larger and 15% brighter than normal. I went out the evening of the supermoon and looked up, it was a bright full moon, but if I had not been told this is the brightest moon since 1948 I would not have thought it was anything special.

You should be able to install without an internet connection, you just won't be able to activate it. Unactivated it will work for 30-60 days before it starts to block you, but that should give you time to get your connection sorted.
