Re: TSR2 test pilots query.
Nigel, Keith, Ben - cheers chaps, all good info. Beamont and Dell it is - and yes, I've now read that Jimmy Dell was due to fly XR222 the day it was all cancelled. By the way, the individual I'm debating this with is British. Ben, the earlier project, where all the info was passed to the US - I thi...

Re: Duxford's BAe 146 today - and the Victor
Interesting little tweaks to the Missile warning sensor fairings on the front pair & to the rear flare dispenser/ Missile warning sensor fairings. I was very envious of the 146 series outline the, shape of those curves very sensuous, as were the mathematical curves of the Aero Commander series. ...

Re: Amsterdam holiday snaps
Thank you Toby, pictures great through Opera. I am too old to go travelling and visit picturesque places, and watching tv (not you TV!) nowadays show a lot of drone shots from positions unobtainable by the living eye - not sure if thats good or bad!

Re: MacRobertson Air Race Anniversary...
Not sure if it works in MSFS because made for FS9/2004, but I uploaded G-ACTM the Miles M3 Falcon prototype to the SOH Library complete with long range tank. I know it didn't get there in time because it took too long to send a replacement prop to India! But H L Brooks did create a record on his ret...

Re: One Lucky Pilot.
Here are some more photographs this time of the pilots' bone dome. Very lucky escape. https://thelincolnite.co.uk/2022/08/pictures-show-damage-to-red-arrows-pilots-helmet-after-bird-strike/ Regards Nigel. I wonder how a US pilot's helmet would fare - they are (or were) a lot lighter construction bu...

Re: One Lucky Pilot.
There was one a long time ago at Llanbedr which left the MDC (Miniature Detonating Cord)wrapped around the pilots head, so very tricky to make sure its not triggered when opening the canopy. The initiators are on the RH side IIRC alongside the hinges. I should think its just a canopy change after t...
