Re: 6 FTS Percival Provost T.1 callsigns

I do know that when 6 FTS where at Finningley in the 90's,their call sign was "Foxtrot Yankee Yankee" followed by two or three digits to signify whether the aircraft was single or twin engined. Post-war when at Ternhill, they operated Harvard then Prentice and then the PProv. The other oper...

6 FTS Percival Provost T.1 callsigns

From 1953 to 1961 when they used PProv T.1's.

I've searched but to no avail so far.

Re: Pensions

The generosity is astounding. I discovered recently that my 30 year Met police pension will reduce some (figure yet to be realized) when I come of UK pensionable age which I blv is now 67 (they keep shifting it). An oversight in negotiations made by the Pol Federation which they neglected to tell u...

Re: Fs2004 Duxford IWM sounds

Okay,so I've converted the soundset to from MP3 to .WAV.

So the next question is how do I make it work?

Does it need to be treated like an aircraft sound?,i.e it has a "trigger" to turn it on and off again so that it
works with just the Airshow Add-on?

How can it be done?

Re: Fs2004 Duxford IWM sounds

That's what I always thought Nev.

There are MP3 to wav. converters out there.

Could a wav.file be made to run as an ambient sound rather than a pure "aircraft sound and just at one location though?

Fs2004 Duxford IWM sounds

I've got the ACG packages installed and running and have the "Day" sound MP3,but how the dickens do you get the sound to work so that once parked, you can hear crowd voices, flybys, twittering birds, all the ambient external sounds at an airshow? The "readme"mentions the original Fs2...

Re: C Type 1938 RAF Hangar

I've seen that Pete, the only trouble is that you can't get the drawing numbers-DE/H1/100/140 for example
to open.

I've clicked on 'em every which way to no avail.

C Type 1938 RAF Hangar

Gents, I'm looking for dimensions of the RAF's expansion scheme 1938 C type hangar as seen here: https://www.challoner.com/aviation/hangars/type-c.html I know that great site gives "clear" dimensions, but I imagine that is internal rather than external? I've been asked to make a "low r...

Re: Sea Fury

Hello Joe ;) How are you these days. I've not used the sim for a few years now,so I'm pretty rusty. After a few pc upgrades over the years,I found a basic Fs9 on an old drive and fancy getting things up and running again with a sort of modern RAF set-up,but having a few classic piston fighters to pl...
