Re: 1/144 Vulcan model kit

Completely agree Garry. I just don't understand the current obsession with overdone panel lines on models. Even when the shape of the airplane is as wrong as these examples, there are those that simply compound the felony. Even as a feckless youth I would never of dreamed of making a model that was ...

Re: M$ strikes again

Hello, I guess this http://www.zdnet.com/microsoft-to-start-nagging-windows-xp-users-about-april-8-end-of-support-date-7000026932/ is what the update brings you. TBH I agree that it's beyond the pail to embed this in an operating system update, but then again they can do that. If you choose to take ...

Re: Mystery Aircraft

Thanks John, that fin flash looks like it might be one of the RAF ones but I can't find anything that says they're still operating them. Somebody is - it's distinctly airborne :agree: Sadly the resolution of the picture is about as good as it's going to get. As I said it was right on the limit of th...

Re: Mystery Aircraft

Thanks Gents, that was really fast. I've been wondering about this one. I just didn't know how to Google "looks nose heavy with the tail about to fall off" 8)

Thanks again, Paul

Mystery Aircraft

Well it is to me! I'm afraid this isn't a great picture but it was as good as my zoom could do. This was flying over Somerset in August last year. Is anyone able to enlighten me as to what it is?

Many thanks, Paul

Re: News: New York to London in 3-4 Hours!

Hi Keith, have to acknowledge those but only the F104 was a production machine and the wings on all of them were really only stubs. None of them had a great reputation for staying airborne for very long :( That's what I don't understand - surely you couldn't have the size of wings shown the picture ...

Re: News: New York to London in 3-4 Hours!

Nice, Dave - "Ground Breaking Poop" :) Please may I use that? I saw this tosh a few days ago in an Aussie paper - like the Sun we get the global BS a little earlier. It's been a long time since I didn't study aerodynamics but is it really possible to cruise above Mach 1 with straight wings...
