Re: A Glacier Adventure with Lou Betti's Dakota...
I flew the polar route to Japan via Anchorage quite a few times on BA and KLM Boeing 747s in the 80s, and the pallet of survival equipment was strapped down where the last rows of centre seats had been removed.

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Great! I was hoping a Happy Christmas thread would be started. This site has been a constant delight to visit over the last 12 months, and I think thats down to each and every member. It really is my one stop for advice on FS matters, opinions concerning add-ons...and truly dreadful jokes. Lot...

Re: Next From Skysim!
Rick, its about time you went 'pro'. Looking at your catalogue of models, it seems each and every one of them is the definitive example of the type. I sincerely hope its a fruitful and lucrative venture for you. One can only wonder if Messrs. Maltby, Garwood and Palmer will be lured away too! ;-)

Re: IRIS F-14A Tomcat
I've always been hugely impressed by screenshots of the Iris Tomcat, and its been one of those planes I intend to buy at some point. I think the F-14 was a beautiful aircraft anyway.

Re: FSX SP" out now...
Every now and again.. you've just gotta go and shoot the sh1t out of something and oddly enough, Combat sims don't do it for me. FPS definately does ;-) ATB DaveB :tab: Dave, I know exactly what you mean. Done properly, FS is quite demanding, so a healthy dose of mindless violence can be just the t...

Re: FSX SP" out now...
Call of Duty, eh ? I never had you pegged as an FPS player Dave...but then again you probably never thought I owned MOH:AA, the original Call of Duty and Operation Flashpoint ! They are fun, I must say, particularly online multiplayer. Yep, I'll stick with my original system upgrade plans, bec...

Re: FSX SP" out now...
Thanks Dave, it seems the crucial difference between us is the RAM; your 3 gig against my paltry 1. No matter, I shall revert to plan A, which is to get FSX at the same time I upgrade my entire system, around next summer. Cheers matey!
