Re: Bloody cold calling
Priceless! Thanks Gary - had not heard that before. Sometimes, I get those calls even though I am on the US "Do Not Call" list. They usually ask for me, mispronouncing "Nigel" so I know it is not a person who knows me. I then say "just a minute, let me get him", lay the...

No box for Flight Simulator II from subLogic for the Apple II, II+ and //e?
Well, I do use it once a year or so - just for a laugh and for nostalgia. It does load a lot faster than FS9.
Oh, Garry - I doubt the 'Poles' have any effect on guiding developers also. ;-)

Re: FSNav data for the Vanguard?
You are correct Sir! You can change any of the parameters for your aircraft such as climb rate, fuel usage, fuel units, autopilot with or without speed hold and so on. As long as you then click the 'Save' button and click 'OK", FSNAV will recall your changes the next time from the aircraft.ini ...

Re: Forty Years Ago
The ghostly grainy pics and the poor venetian blind Pacific live pics all watched on a 405 line monocrome TV made the moment. Things now are too clean and the just like next door look of everything robs the magic. I sat there speechless :-# and awe inspired :) Garry I heard that NASA can't find the...

Re: Cigarettes Getting More Expensive
Hi Nigel.Apart from that, I take it you were quite happy? :brick:  EricT    Reminds me of the expression th Colonials use on this side of the pond "Other than that Mrs Lincoln, how did you like the play?" Another pet peve of mine is certainly not confined to BoA: Call ...

Re: FSNav data for the Vanguard?
Not sure it is mentioned in the manual at all, Dave - other than the mention of selecting the units to be used when setting up the aircraft parameters. Since FSNAV remembers what unit you used to set up the fuel usuage for your particular aircraft, it must save a variable somewhere and my bet is tha...

Re: Cigarettes Getting More Expensive
OIC. My experience with BoA was that by the time you navigated through the "press button" menu and finally figured out how to talk to a human (always the very last selection available), you went into a "all our customer service representatives are busy" queu for twenty minutes (c...

Re: On August 7th at...............................
No, we didn't miss it - it was mentioned on the news! Must have been a slow news day. Besides, we can refer to the date the way the way the rest of the world does and have another party at 12:34:56 on the 7th August 09.
