Re: Am I too fat?

I live in Cramlington actually, (next door to Newcastle for those who don't know) and I know exactly how exotic it is round here. Ahh, those bracing icy summer winds!
Derek, I see you lived up here and moved to Dorset. I did it the other way round, I'm originally from Weymouth! Small world innit?

Re: Am I too fat?

Come to think of it, no I haven't tried it at a default airport. The grass start was at Popham, the hard stuff was Scampton, both British Airports versions. I haven't got many default airfields left in this country to be honest. I really can't stand the Microsoft 'painted shoebox' terminals etc and ...

Am I too fat?

I only ask because whenever I load the new UKmil Grob Tutor it plunges through the ground in a hiddeous mess! I've tried it on grass and the hard stuff but the same thing happens. Maybe it's time to go on a virtual diet...

Re: BAe ATP v1.0 available at Avsim

Nice a/c. Never flown in one but always wondered why she wasn't more successful? Especially compared to the F27/F50 evolution, surely the same rules apply from the HS748? The F50 seems to have reached her peak and is on the wane, but she faired much better than the ATP. Maybe someone out there in th...

Re: Comet 1 Difficulties

Hello Chris I've been using the Comet 1 quite heavily since she came out. I've ended up stringing my trip to Hong Kong out into a world tour. I've reached Dallas so far, after having popped in on such exotic locations as Kamchatka, Nome and Las Vegas! I've also enabled the Nav/GPS switch but I haven...

Re: Gliding in FSX & FS9

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll be definitely sticking Emma Field on the list.

Re: Gliding in FSX & FS9

Quick side question for Peter if you don't mind - I've got my birthday coming up next week and I'm looking for something for the Missus to 'surprise' me with. I've always toyed with the idea of Emma Field and maybe this is my excuse to get it. On the Just Flight web site it only refers to it being f...

Re: Comet 1 Autopilot Question

Thanks for that Nigel. Just tried it on my latest Far East Comet trip from Shanghai to Tokyo and it works a treat! Well done (and I've learnt something new)!

Re: Comet 1 Autopilot Question

Thanks lads. Jens - I've scoured the cfg of the Comet 1 but can't see an obvious reference to the Nav/GPS (I'm looking in the autopilot section). It's not the end of the world if I can't sort this out, it's just useful when I'm on the longer legs of a flight. You know the situation with heading hold...
