Apologies, but I've been away since last Thursday, first sploshing round Westhampnett - then nipping over to Northern Ireland for a 15 minute talk -including the evils of Climate Change. Of course I flew over and back... Obscure links are always the best! The primary clue lies in the Swissair scheme...

While Alphasim have advertantly (or is that inadvertantly?) produced the tailplane for a civil variant, perhaps we could see a solid nose to complete the transformation? And any window configuration changes which those in the know could come up with. I've seen the comments on the Alphasim forum that...

Another Star from Jens

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but Jens has sneaked out another little star, the original Lockheed Orion. It is hidden in the FSX download section, but loads up in fs9 without a hitch. http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/7729/orionkdcadawndepcv6.jpg Now, who knows the link between this...

I picked up the C-130 and 707 when they were going cheap at Christmas, and (as long as SWMBO isn't looking :worried: ) I'm not so sure that the 707 gave me anything that I couldn't get off HJG.

Others on the forum have been less impressed by the 757 package(s)!

Mrs. Rose Tombe passes away

My apologies for bringing a sombre note to today's posts, but perhaps we should all pause in remembrance of the late Rose Tombe. :-({|= http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6623895.stm Perhaps Garry could find some well-chosen words to say on this sad occasion. As she wasn't a sheep, at least he won'...

A lovely plane to fly, although I'm not so sure the customers down the back appreciate the aerobatic ride. Quite the most perfect vc as well.

Now I can scrap my rubbish attempts at re-working the PD one into a BOAC scheme!

Just on cue, there is an article by Ken Wallis in the current issue of Aeroplane Monthly about his experience with a barrage balloon cable whilst flying a Wellington in '41.

I don't think it would spoil the ending to say that he survived!
