Steve, you're probably better getting two matching DIMMS of 8Gb each rather than a mismatched pair.
I'll look into that Chris. I read that they don't have to be matched these days. It just goes to show not to beleive everything these days. Cheers.

Re: X-Plane 11 My Verdict

I'm struggling with frame rates at the moment, but from what I've read, it used to be about cpu and graphics card. I seems to be more about cpu and ram these days. I have a 3.10gb AMD A8-9600 Radeon R7 Quad core cpu. Only 2 memory strips. Originaly fitted with one strip of Crucial 4gbs, I've added a...

2/6d for pie and chips? That's 25p............... :) I got me and the wife a treat last night, a chippy run. First time in years. Large cod with peas twice, and one potion of chips between us. The fish was cooked to order and was absolutely delicious. There was too much for us to eat so the two dogs...

Re: X-Plane 11 My Verdict

After following Nigels adventure into Xplane I've taken the plunge. It was a hard decision seeing as I've come all the way down the track from FS5. I still have fs98, fs2000, fs 2002, fs2004 and FSX on my system and regularly fire them up just to remind myself how far we've come on this journey. Had...

Re: Why do Police shoot to kill?

In the British forces we were told never aim to wound. The purpose of a firearm is to kill.

Not only that, a dead man can't get up and testify against you.

Re: Not been my day!!

Nigel, I put it down to win10 being unstable. Looking around on several forums, peeps do not want to move on from win7.
I know there is only about three years support left for win7, I just hope that is enough time to sort out the probs with 10.

Re: Not been my day!!

I have every sympathy. A month ago I upgraded an old PC and treated it to a motherboard bundle which came with the CPU ready installed. Everything was SATA connections so I installed a new dvdrw. Invested in two solid state HD's, one for the system and one to store everything. I installed win10 pro ...
