Re: Another DOUBLE Birthday!
Hi Dave  You are correct Sir! Yes, I have my forum time set to EST so even there I am an hour off because it should be EDT. I realized later that since I was born "over there" it actually was my birthday because I lost 5 hours coming "over here". Does have its be...

Re: Board Question
Thanks, Ben - looks like I misunderstood the meaning of "Frst unread post" then. At least I know to look back to page 1 to see the posts I missed.

Board Question
Not sure if this is the right place for this - if not please forgive and move. I have noticed that when I read a post with messeges that are all contained on one page clicking "First unread post" works just fine" Now if the next day, page 1 is full with a few new post that have now ca...

Re: Airforce One Photo Shoot . . . . Oops!!!
That entire photo -op was stupid and the FAA knew about it and did not warn anyone at the military's request. I do feel sorry for the New Yorkers - what a horrible reminder of 9/11. One small detail - most of that $328,835 would have been spent anyway since the training excercise was already schedul...

Re: IE8 - Opinions?
Thanks for all your reples everyone! It looks like Windows Update is now in widespread distribution of IE8 so any major bugs should pop out in the next few weeks. Based on that and your replies, I will probably install it sooner rather than later.

Re: Colour Depth
Ian, thanks for your response and the screenshot. I am finding the same thing with 1440x900 = same ratio as your new laptop. In a few minutes I get used to it and anywhere there is lettering or numbers - it is a lot easier to read, which is a big plus at my age. ;-) I think my original assesment of ...

IE8 - Opinions?
I just got offered IE8 via automatic update and I held off for a while - I wanted to see what everyone who already has IE8 thinks of it. I have read both good and bad about it on the net but wanted the opinions of this esteemed group - so any opinions guys? Thanks, in advance, for your input. Nigel²
